Introduction through connector, the REF VIDEO IN connector is automatically terminated at 75 ohm. Connecting a cable to this connector releases 75 ohm termination. When a cable is connected to the REF VIDEO loop-through connector, be sure to connect the other end of the cable to a connector. • At 720P recordings that input or do not input an HD reference signal, the phase of the input signal may be displaced in the recording of the signal. • When setup menu No. 25 (SYSTEM FREQ) is set to 59-23, 60-24 or 60-25, only playback is synchronized to the HD reference signal. • Use double shielded cable for making connection to REF VIDEO IN connector. 6. ANALOG VIDEO IN/MON connector IN connector: Inputs analog composite video signals. When no cable is connected to the loop through connector, the IN connector is automatically terminated at 75 ohm. Connecting a cable to this connector releases 75 ohm termination. MON connector: Outputs analog composite monitor video signals. ◆ NOTE: • Use double shielded cable for making connections to ANALOG VIDEO IN/MON connectors. 7. AC IN socket Connect the supplied power cord to a power outlet. 8. LAN connector Use this connector to connect to a 1000BASE-T/ 100 BASE-TX/10BASE-T network. ➝Refer to "Connecting This Unit to a Network" (page 130). ◆ NOTE: • Use a shielded cable for a connection to the LAN connector. • A green LED lights to indicate that the LAN link is established in100BASE-T mode. An orange LED blinks during data transfer. 9. PARALLEL IN/OUT connector This is a 25-pin parallel remote connector. Introduction: Control Reference Guide

Introduction
through connector, the REF VIDEO IN connector is
automatically terminated at 75 ohm. Connecting a cable to
this connector releases 75 ohm termination. When a cable
is connected to the REF VIDEO loop-through connector, be
sure to connect the other end of the cable to a connector.
At 720P recordings that input or do not input an HD
reference signal, the phase of the input signal may be
displaced in the recording of the signal.
When setup menu No. 25 (SYSTEM FREQ) is set to 59-23,
60-24 or 60-25, only playback is synchronized to the HD
reference signal.
Use double shielded cable for making connection to REF
VIDEO IN connector.
6.
ANALOG VIDEO IN/MON connector
NOTE:
Use double shielded cable for making connections to
ANALOG VIDEO IN/MON connectors.
7.
AC IN socket
Connect the supplied power cord to a power outlet.
8.
LAN connector
Use this connector to connect to a 1000BASE-T/
100 BASE-TX/10BASE-T network.
Refer to “Connecting This Unit to a Network” (page 130).
NOTE:
Use a shielded cable for a connection to the LAN connector.
A green LED lights to indicate that the LAN link is
established in100BASE-T mode. An orange LED blinks
during data transfer.
9.
PARALLEL IN/OUT connector
This is a 25-pin parallel remote connector.
NOTE:
Use COMMAND at TTL level, low active (negative logic)
and of electrical signals with an edge of 100 msec or more.
STATUS outputs open collector and sync current up to
6 mA.
OPERATION ENABLE STATUS becomes active when
playback from PARALLEL REMOTE is available with the
setup menu 213 EXTENDED CMD set to ON.
OPERATION ENABLE STATUS becomes active at the
REMOTE status with the setup menu 213 EXTENDED CMD
set to OFF.
Use shielded cable for making connections to PARALEL
IN/OUT connectors.
10.
ENCODER REMOTE connector
Connect an external encoder remote controller to
adjust video output signal settings.
IN connector:
Inputs analog composite video
signals.
When no cable is connected to the
loop through connector, the IN
connector is automatically
terminated at 75 ohm. Connecting
a cable to this connector releases
75 ohm termination.
MON connector:
Outputs analog composite monitor
video signals.
