Recording - Basics Recording a picture Shooting backlit subjects - BACK LIGHT When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a light background, use the backlight function. Press BACK LIGHT in CAMERA or MEMORY mode. The . indicator appears on the screen. To cancel, press BACK LIGHT again. BACK LIGHT During back light function The backlight function will be canceled when you press MANUAL in the EXPOSURE mode or SPOT METER. Shooting in the dark - NightShot/Super NightShot The NightShot function enables you to shoot a subject in a dark place. For example, you can satisfactorily record the environment of nocturnal animals for observation when you use this function. While your camcorder is in CAMERA or MEMORY mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON. and "NIGHTSHOT" indicators flash on the screen. To cancel the NightShot function, slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.
