Adding Labels or Flow Arrows to Ducts

You can manually add, remove, or modify insulation or lining on duct components. For more information, see Modifying Insulation or Lining on page 238. 1 In the HVAC workspace, click Manage tab ➤ Preferences panel ➤ Duct . NOTE You can also open Duct Preferences from the Add Ducts dialog. Click (Preferences) in the lower left corner of the dialog. Any changes you make to Duct Preferences remain in effect after you close the Add Ducts dialog. 2 In the Duct Layout Preferences dialog, click the Ducts tab. 3 Under Lining and Insulation, select Apply Insulation or Apply Lining, or both. 4 Enter a value for Thickness. NOTE To turn off lining or insulation, open the Duct Preferences dialog, click the Ducts tab, and under Insulation or lining, deselect Apply Insulation or Apply Lining. Adding Labels or Flow Arrows to Ducts Use this procedure to automatically add labels or flow arrows to ducts as you draw them. Size labels and flow arrows on a duct system When turned on, labels or flow arrows are added to new duct runs as you draw them. They are not automatically added to existing duct runs in the drawing. You can manually add, remove, or modify labels and flow arrows on duct components.
