Length Duct, pipe, cable tray, or conduit length is the actual length of the segment. You can break segments or an entire run into several segments as well as merge them together. Duct, pipe, cable tray, or conduit length can be useful when determining the number of individual segments a manufacturer needs to supply. Line Annotation Line annotation (1 or 2 line annotation) is the type of graphic representation used to represent cable trays. You can select from a list of predefined graphical types. Lining Thickness You can specify the thickness of lining added to a single duct segment or fitting, a group of duct segments or fittings, or an entire network of ductwork. Load Circuit load is the total burden placed on the circuit, measured in volt-amperes. Circuit load is a read-only property that is defined dynamically based on the device loads on the circuit. Having an accurate load setting for each device ensures an accurate total load for the circuit as well as the panel. You can specify the load during insertion or modify the device property later to change the load. You can also set the load to a predefined value in external content files if you want the load to be a consistent value for a specific type of device. When you change the load of a circuited device, the load total for that circuit and its assigned panel are updated with the new load. The load value is used when calculating total loads and demand loads for circuits and panels. See Total Load. Location The location is a part's actual X, Y, Z coordinate location in a drawing. The insertion point and angle of rotation are also stored as part of the location property. Location Type A building location type assigned to the surface of an engineering space. Wall surfaces can be designated as interior walls, or different exterior wall types. Ceilings and floors can also be designated as interior, exterior, or below-grade surfaces. Material You can specify a material for piping by selecting from the list of available materials. The pipe material is used to sort the mechanical module catalogs for selecting valid parts during layout. You can change the material for specific segments or an entire network of piping.
