NOTE Elevation grips are not available on flex or sloping duct segments. You can modify the elevation of the start point of a selected flex duct segment by clicking Duct Flex tab ➤ Modify panel ➤ Flex Duct Modify . Modify sloping duct segments by individually selecting and adjusting the elevations of connected fittings and clicking Duct Fitting tab ➤ Modify panel ➤ Duct Fitting Modify . To modify the elevation of an HVAC part or duct segment 1 Change to a side or isometric on page 86 view. 2 Select the part or duct segment. 3 Select the Elevation grip to use. 4 If the part or duct segment is connected to another object, specify whether and how to maintain connectivity: If you want to... then... maintain connectivity by adjusting only duct fittings and segments, and retain the current locations of parts proceed to the next step. maintain connectivity by adjusting all press CTRL. objects, including parts break connectivity press CTRL twice. 5 Specify the new elevation: If you want to... then... specify the new overall elevation relative to a point on the part or segment (for example, the centerline) press TAB as many times as needed to activate the appropriate input field, and enter the resulting dimension.
