MESSAGE CENTER PRO (FOR FAX 870MC AND MFC 970MC ONLY) 97 See Recording Personal Mailbox OGM/ Password p. 96 Playing Personal Mailbox Messages The screen displays whether it has received any messages. If any mailboxes contain messages, the screen will alternately display the numbers of those mailboxes, with how many VOICE and FAX messages the Message Center has stored. To listen to voice incoming messages and memos in your mailbox, or to print faxes in your mailbox, you will need your 4-digit password. 1 Press Play . 2 Within two seconds, press one of the One Touch keys for the selected mailbox. Mailboxes 01 to 05 are assigned to One Touch keys 1 to 5 respectively. The screen then prompts you to enter your 4-digit password. 3 Enter your password. 4 Press Set . The FAX/MFC plays back voice incoming messages and memos stored in the mailbox, then prints faxes stored in the mailbox. Erasing Incoming Messages and Memo From Personal Mailbox You can erase voice incoming messages and memos individually or all at once. You cannot erase fax incoming messages individually. See Recording Personal Mailbox OGM/Password p. 96 To erase an individual message 1 Press Play . 2 Within two seconds, press one of the One Touch keys for the selected mailbox. Mailboxes 01 to 05 are assigned to One Touch keys 1 to 5 respectively. The screen then prompts you to enter your 4-digit password. 3 Enter your password. 4 Press Set . The FAX/MFC begins to play back messages. Each message is preceded by one long beep and followed by two short beeps. 5 Press Erase immediately after the two short beeps, or while a message is playing to erase it. The screen prompts ERASE THIS MSG.? 1.YES 2.NO 6 Press 1 to erase -OR- Press 2 to exit without erasing.
