31 I N I T I A L S E T U P Setting the Handset Volume You can adjust the handset volume any time you are talking on the telephone. There are two handset volume levels, LOW and HIGH. The default setting is LOW. Press or to adjust the volume level. The display shows the setting you are choosing. The new setting will remain until you change it again. Setting the Speaker Volume You can adjust the speaker volume when your FAX/MFC is onhook (after you pressed Hook -OR- Speaker Phone ), by selecting a speaker volume level. If you have a FAX 870MC or MFC 970MC, you can adjust the speaker volume while you are listening to your OGM (Outgoing Message) and ICMs (incoming messages). If you turn the Incoming Recording Monitor to OFF ( Function , 8 , 5 ) on the FAX 870MC and MFC 970MC, the Speaker for screening calls will be disabled and you will not be able to hear callers leaving messages. Setting the Handset Volume
You can adjust the handset volume any time you are talking on the
