ip igmp snooping vlan mrouter 16- and 36-Port Ethernet Switch Module for Cisco 2600 Series, Cisco 3600 Series, and Cisco 3700 Series ip igmp snooping vlan mrouter To add a multicast router port and to configure the multicast router learning method, use the ip igmp snooping vlan mrouter command in global configuration mode. To remove the configuration, use the no form of this command. ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id mrouter {interface interface-id | learn pim-dvmrp} no ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id mrouter {interface interface-id | learn pim-dvmrp} Syntax Description vlan-id interface-id learn pim-dvmrp Specify the VLAN ID. The range is from 1 to 1001. Do not enter leading zeroes. Specify the interface of the member port that is configured to a static router port. Specify the multicast router snooping PIM-DVMRP packets multicast router learning method. Defaults The default learning method is pim-dvmrp. This command was implemented on the following platforms: Cisco 2600 series, Cisco 3600 series, and Cisco 3700 series routers. Usage Guidelines The CGMP learning method is useful for controlling traffic in Cisco router environments. The configured learning method is saved in nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM). Static connections to multicast routers are supported only on switch ports. Examples The following example shows how to configure Fast Ethernet interface 0/6 as a multicast router port: Switch(config)# ip igmp snooping vlan 1 mrouter interface fastethernet0/6 You can verify your settings by entering the show ip igmp snooping mrouter privileged EXEC command.
