6. Make sure the ON LINE light is on; then you can send data to the printer from your computer. When you are finished feeding single sheets, open the paper cover, readjust the paper guides, and replace the stack of letter-size paper in the paper bin. If necessary, reset the paper path selector on the top left corner of the printer to the face-down position. Loading envelopes, /labels, transparencies, and heavy paper Use only labels and overhead projector transparencies designed to be used with laser printers or plain-paper copiers. Since envelopes, labels, transparencies, and heavy paper must be fed through the printer one sheet at a time, read this section and then see "Loading single sheets" discussed earlier in this section. Note: If you feed envelopes, labels, transparencies, and heavy paper, you should set the paper feed selector to the face-up position.
