User's Guide Improving Print and Scan Quality Cleaning the Paper Path When the printouts are smeared or scuffed or paper does not feed correctly, clean the roller inside. c Important: Do not use tissue paper to clean the inside of the printer. The print head nozzles may be clogged with lint. 1. Load a sheet of paper for cleaning the printer. ❏ If the printouts are smeared or scuffed, load A4-size plain paper. ❏ If paper does not feed correctly, load the cleaning sheet that came with the Epson genuine paper. If you do not have a cleaning sheet, you can use plain paper instead of the cleaning sheet. 2. Enter Setup from the home screen. 3. Select Maintenance > Paper Guide Cleaning. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the paper path. Y Note: ❏ Repeat this procedure until the paper is not smeared with ink. R ❏ When paper does not feed correctly, repeat these steps two or three times. A ❏ The cleaning sheet can only be used about three times. After that, it has no effect. Cleaning the Paper Path
When the printouts are smeared or scuffed or paper does not feed correctly, clean the roller inside.

Important:
Do not use tissue paper to clean the inside of the printer. °e print head nozzles may be clogged with lint.

Load a sheet of paper for cleaning the printer.

If the printouts are smeared or scuffed, load A4-size plain paper.
❏
If paper does not feed correctly, load the cleaning sheet that came with the Epson genuine paper. If you do
not have a cleaning sheet, you can use plain paper instead of the cleaning sheet.

Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the paper path.
