Note Configuring TCP/IP Parameters To configure TCP/IP parameters, you can use the HP JetAdmin software that is included on the printer's software CD-ROM. If you choose not to use this utility or are using a UNIX system other than HP-UX, Solaris, or SunOS, you can use the printer control panel to configure the following TCP/IP parameters: q Usage of the BOOTP file for configuration parameters (the default is to use the BOOTP file) q IP address (4 bytes) q Subnet mask (4 bytes) q Default gateway (4 bytes) q TCP connection timeout (in seconds) Do not disable BOOTP if you will be using RARP or DHCP to configure TCP/IP parameters. Configuring TCP/IP Parameters
To configure TCP/IP parameters, you can use the HP JetAdmin
software that is included on the printer’s software CD-ROM. If you
choose not to use this utility or are using a UNIX system other than
HP-UX, Solaris, or SunOS, you can use the printer control panel to
configure the following TCP/IP parameters:
Usage of the BOOTP file for configuration parameters (the default
is to use the BOOTP file)
IP address (4 bytes)
Subnet mask (4 bytes)
Default gateway (4 bytes)
TCP connection timeout (in seconds)
Note
Do not disable BOOTP if you will be using RARP or DHCP to configure
TCP/IP parameters.
