Note Setting the I/O Timeout I/O Timeout sets the number of seconds that the printer waits to receive additional data from the computer before switching I/O ports. The default setting for the printer is 15 seconds. Setting the I/O Timeout too high may cause a single I/O port to remain active and prohibit data from being received through other ports. Setting I/O Timeout too low may result in missing characters, out-oforder print jobs, or other print problems. To set the I/O Timeout 1 Press MENU until I/O MENU displays. 2 Press ITEM until I/O TIMEOUT displays. 3 Press VALUE to increase or decrease the I/O Timeout value. Holding the key down will change the value more quickly. 4 Press SELECT to save the setting. 5 Press GO to return the printer to the READY state. EN Chapter 2 43
