Item Values TONER DENSITY 1 to 5 CREATE CLEANING PAGE There is no value to select. PROCESS CLEANING PAGE There is no value to select. Explanation CAUTION: HP does not recommend full-time use of EconoMode. If EconoMode is used full-time, the toner supply might outlast the mechanical parts in the print cartridge. Lighten or darken the print on the page by setting the toner density. Select a setting ranging from 1 (light) to 5 (dark). The default setting of 3 usually produces the best results. Press to print a cleaning page (for cleaning toner from the fuser). Follow the instructions on the cleaning page. For more information, see Cleaning the printer on page 91. This item is available only after a cleaning page has been created. Follow the instructions that are printed on the cleaning page. The cleaning process might take up to 2.5 minutes. Item DATE/TIME JOB STORAGE LIMIT JOB HELD TIMEOUT TRAY BEHAVIOR Values Explanation DATE Sets the date and time settings. DATE FORMAT TIME TIME FORMAT 1 to 100 Specifies the number of quick copy jobs that can be stored on the printer. OFF 1 HOUR 4 HOURS The default setting is 32. Sets the amount of time that held jobs are kept before being automatically deleted from the queue. The default setting is OFF. 1 DAY 1 WEEK USE REQUESTED TRAY USE REQUESTED TRAY: Determines whether the printer tries to pull media from a different tray than the one that you MANUALLY FEED PROMPT selected in the printer driver. PS DEFER MEDIA SIZE/TYPE PROMPT ● EXCLUSIVELY: Sets the printer to pull from the tray that you selected and not pull from another tray, even if the tray that you selected is empty. ● FIRST: Sets the printer to pull from the tray that you selected first, but allows the printer to pull from another tray automatically if the tray that you selected is empty.
