Converged Enhanced Ethernet on the HP ProCurve 6120XG Switch FIP Snooping If the user tries to configure a port belonging to a turnk as a FCF port, the following error message is displayed: A trunk member cannot be configured as FCF port. FCF-MAC should be unique for every interface, so if the user tries to configure FCF-MAC on a group of ports the following error message is displayed: The same FCF-MAC address cannot be set on more than one interface. If the user tries to remove a FCF-MAC that has not been configured, the following error message is displayed: FCF-MAC address is not configured on the interface. If the user tries to remove the last FCF-MAC configured when FIP Snooping is enabled, the following error message is displayed: Last FCF-MAC cannot be removed as FIP Snooping is enabled. In case of null/broadcast/multicast/malformed MAC, the following error message is displayed: Invalid MAC address . If hardware resources are not available and no more ACLs are available to program, the following error message is displayed: Error: Maximum number of session/connection entries have been reached. 4. Enable/disable FIP Snooping Syntax: fip-snooping no fip-snooping Used to enable/disable the fip-snooping feature. Default Value: Disable Dependency: FIP Snooping cannot be enabled until at least one FCF-MAC and FC-MAP is configured on the box. The following show commands are available at this point. 6-25
