You access this checkbox by clicking on the WinNT tab for Windows NT and Windows 2000 systems and under Win95/98 for Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems. Default value: ; Potential security impact: Low or none Implications: When activated, this can be a simple auditory way of ensuring that the smart card is correctly inserted into the reader, since a beep will indicate that it has been correctly inserted.
