Setting up a remote connection to your network After your network administrator has set up your account, you need to create a connection on your HP Jornada so that you can connect to your network, e-mail, and intranet (possibly including the Internet) easily whenever you want to. Use HP dialup to create the connection on your HP Jornada. HP dialup leads you through the process of configuring for your connections, including: Setting up a connection to your network. Setting up an e-mail service (if you choose E-mail service as an option). Setting up a Web service (if you choose Web Service as an option). In this case, the Web may be your corporate intranet or the Worldwide Web. Setting up a dialing location. You will have the opportunity to set the following options during the dial-up configuration process. Service provider connection This portion of the program allows you to name and save your network connection. You can create more than one connection (for example, one connection to your corporate network and one to your personal ISP). Choose a connection name that will make it easy to determine which connection you want when you are ready to dial up. At this point, you will also complete the following tasks: Choose E-mail and/or Web serviceYou can choose one or both options. Your network administrator can tell you which options are available to you.
