Error Messages If you get an error message, insert your HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and press the Reset button on the front of the NetServer. An Error Message Utility automatically displays the error message and a possible solution. Clearing the System Configuration You may need to clear the system configuration if a program has corrupted the configuration, or if incorrect settings made in the Setup utility have made the display unreadable. To clear the system configuration, follow these steps: 1. For both rack-mount and pedestal models, follow the instructions in Chapter 3, "Opening and Closing the HP NetServer," to gain access to the server. 2. Turn off power to the HP NetServer and unplug the power cord. Remove the front bezel and top cover. 140
