NOTE: When the replication configuration file is imported, the replication service validates only that the source path exists, not that it is a PSFS directory or mount point. When replication starts, the replication service verifies that the source path is a PSFS directory or mount point. If this verification fails, an error is generated. End the current replication interval and start a new interval Occasionally you may need to terminate the currently running replication interval and then start a new replication interval. Use the following command: # rplcontrol -s switch Reelect the sentinel node The replication configuration file allows you to specify a preferred sentinel node on the source cluster. This node is used to perform the file transfers during replication. However, when the replication group is formed and replication starts, a different node may actually become the sentinel node. This can happen for a variety of reasons; for example, the node may have been down at the time the replication group was formed. You can use the following command to force the preferred sentinel node to become the actual sentinel node. For the command to take effect, the node must be a member of the replication group at the time that the command is issued. # rplcontrol -s reelect To determine which node is the current sentinel, use the following command. Replication must be running when the command is issued. rplstatus Create a custom ssh key pair If desired, you can create a custom key pair and then install that key pair on the source and destination clusters. Use one of these methods to create the custom key pair. • Run rplkeys -c to create the custom key pair, add it to the mxds datastore, and publish it for replication use. replication starts, the replication service verifies that the source path is a PSFS

Reelect the sentinel node

The replication configuration file allows you to specify a preferred sentinel node on

the source cluster. This node is used to perform the file transfers during replication.

However, when the replication group is formed and replication starts, a different

node may actually become the sentinel node. This can happen for a variety of reasons;

for example, the node may have been down at the time the replication group was

formed.

You can use the following command to force the preferred sentinel node to become

the actual sentinel node. For the command to take effect, the node must be a member

of the replication group at the time that the command is issued.

# rplcontrol

To determine which node is the current sentinel, use the following command.

Replication must be running when the command is issued.

rplstatus

Create a custom ssh key pair

If desired, you can create a custom key pair and then install that key pair on the

source and destination clusters. Use one of these methods to create the custom key

pair.
