Monitor type: Select CUSTOM. Timeout: Specify 120 seconds. Frequency: Specify 60 seconds. User probe script: Specify the /opt/hpcfs/methods/smb_meth script followed by the name of the virtual Samba server. For example: /opt/hpcfs/methods/smb_meth cifs1 After completing your entries on the Add Service Monitor window, click Advanced and then go to the Scripts tab on the Advanced Service Configuration window. You will need to specify Start and Stop scripts for the monitor. Enter the same line that you specified for the User probe script. The timeout should be 600 seconds. Specifying /opt/hpcfs/methods/smb_meth as the recovery script is optional. When the recovery script is set, on the first probe failure the monitor stops and then starts Samba for the specified virtual Samba server. When you have completed the configuration, click OK to start the service monitor. The cifs1 service monitor looks like this on the Management Console.
