Slide the ends of the belt under the plate until they engage the teeth on the block. Both ends of the belt should be visible through the gap between the plates as shown in Figure 3-8. Set the belt so there is only a small space between the ends of the belt (approximately 1/32"). 10. Tighten the four screws that hold the belt retaining plates. 11. Pull out the paper clip previously installed in the base section. This applies the proper tension to the belt. 12. Locate the two captive screws in the car. Screw them backward approximately one thread into the bracket in the car so they are held in an upright position. 13. Position the belt block at least six inches from the motor drive pulley. 14. Locate the spring-loaded wheels of the car. Referring to Figure 3-9, engage the spring-loaded wheels in the track, while positioning the car so the captive screws are directly over the holes in the belt block. NOTE: Figure 3-9 omits the door on the car for clarity. Do not remove the door.

Loosen the four screws that hold the belt retaining plates to the block.
Slide the ends of the belt under the plate until they engage the teeth on
the block. Both ends of the belt should be visible through the gap
between the plates as shown in Figure 3-8. Set the belt so there is only a
