3. Hold the solenoid on top of the reach mechanism with one hand and grasp the cartridge with the other. Rotate the solenoid switch clockwise until the cartridge is released from the gripper, as shown in Figure 36 on page 129. Caution Potential equipment damage: Make sure the gripper mechanism is fully retracted. If it is left extended and you turn the robot, the gripper mechanism will strike a storage cell. If it is left extended and the hand is facing the tape library door when it is closed, the door will strike the gripper mechanism. 4.
