If you make any changes to the screen, click Apply to apply the change to the system. The rest of the screen displays the number of persistent messages the system has logged and the persistent log messages. Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to perform the following actions: • Click Clear to clear the messages out of the buffered log. • Click Refresh to refresh the screen with the most current data from the switch. Server Log Use the Server Log screen to allow the switch to send log messages to the remote logging hosts configured on the system. To configure local log server settings: 1. Select Monitoring Logs > Server Log link. 2. Select the radio buttons in the Admin Status field to determine whether to send log messages to the remote syslog hosts configured on the switch. • Enable. Messages will be sent to all configured hosts (syslog collectors or relays) using the values configured for each host. • Disable. Stops logging to all syslog hosts. Disable means no messages will be sent to any collector/relay. 3. In the Local UDP Port field, specify the port on the switch from which syslog messages are sent. 4. Click Apply to save the settings. 263
