A. Smart Control Center Utilities A The NETGEAR Smart Control Center (SCC) is a Windows based application. Its main function is to discover NETGEAR Smart switches in your network and connect them to your network. For information about device discovery and network connectivity, see Chapter 1, Getting Started. In addition to device discovery, the Smart Control Center includes network configuration utilities and several maintenance features. This chapter describes the following Smart Control Center utilities: • Network Utilities • Upload and Download the Configuration • Upgrade the Firmware • View and Manage Tasks Network Utilities The Network tab includes the following network utility buttons: • DHCP Refresh. Forces the switch to release the current bindings and request new address information from the DHCP server. • Reboot Device. Reboots the selected device. • Web Browser Access. Launches a web browser and connects to the management interface for the selected device. • Configure Device. Allows you to modify network information for the switch, including the IP address, DHCP client mode, system name, and location.
