LPI history information (Continued) Field Description Time Since The Sample Was Recorded The amount of time that has passed since the last LPI history sample was recorded. Each time the screen is refreshed it shows a different time as it reflects the difference in current time and time at which the sample was recorded. Percentage Time spent in LPI mode since last sample The percentage of time spent in LPI mode since the last sample was recorded. Percentage Time spent in LPI mode since last reset The percentage of time spent in LPI mode since the switch was reset. 5. Click Apply to send the updated configuration to the switch. Configuration changes take effect immediately. 6. Click Refresh to refresh the screen with the most current data from the switch. SNMP This section describes how to configure the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) version 1 and SNMP version 2 information on the switch. For information about configuring the SNMPv3 administrative profile, see Use SNMPv3 on page 24. SNMPV1/V2 The screens under the SNMPV1/V2 link allow you to configure SNMPv1/v2 community information, traps, and trap flags. Configure the SNMP Community By default, two SNMP Communities exist: • Private, with Read/Write privileges and status set to Enable. • Public, with Read Only privileges and status set to Enable. These are well-known communities. Use this screen to change the defaults or to add other communities. Only the communities that you define using this screen will have access to the switch using the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c protocols. Only those communities with read/write level access can be used to change the configuration using SNMP. Use this screen when you are using the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c protocol.  To add an SNMP community: 1. Select System  SNMP  SNMP V1/V2  Community Configuration. 57
