Preconfigured Model Identifier The model type assigned by the device manufacturer to identify the device. Plugged-in Model Identifier The model type assigned by the device manufacturer to identify the plugged-in device. Detected Code Version The detected version of code on this unit. Detected Code Version in Flash The Release number and version number of the code stored in flash. SFS Last Attempt Status The status of last tried stack firmware synchronisation. "None" is the default value if SFS has not been tried. Configure the Stacking Ports as Ethernet Uplink Ports Port 51 and port 52 on the GS752TXS and ports 27 and 28 on the GS728TXS can be used as the stacking ports or as uplink ports. By default, the ports are configured for stacking. Use the Stack Port Configuration screen to configure the ports as Ethernet uplink ports for connectivity to network servers or other resources that require high throughput. To configure stack ports as Ethernet ports: 1. Select System Stacking Advanced Stack Port Configuration. The Stack Port Configuration screen displays. 2. From the Configured Stack Mode list, select Ethernet. 3. Click Apply. 4. Reboot the switch. a. Select Maintenance > Reset > Device Reboot. b. In the Reboot Unit No. list, select the unit number of the switch. c. Select the check box. d. Click Apply. 5. After the switch boots, log on and return to the Stack Port Configuration screen. 91
