• SMTP user name-Enter the user name for outgoing mails that you have obtained from your e-mail service provider. If you do not enter an SMTP user name, the e-mail server uses the POP3 or IMAP4 user name instead. • SMTP password-Enter the password that you want to use for outgoing mails. If you do not enter an SMTP password, the e-mail server uses the POP3 or IMAP4 password instead. • Outgoing (SMTP) port-Enter the number of the e-mail server port for outgoing e-mail. The most common default value is 25. If you selected POP3 as the incoming server type, the following options are shown: • Incoming (POP3) port-Enter the port number that you have obtained from your e-mail service provider. • Reply-to address-Enter the e-mail address to which you want the replies to be sent. • Secure login-Select On if your connection requires an encrypted login; otherwise select Off. Contact your service provider if in doubt. Using encrypted login enables increased security for user names and passwords. It does not increase security for the connection itself. • Retrieve e-mails-Enter the maximum number of e-mails that you want to retrieve at a time. • SMTP connection settings-Define the connection settings required for outgoing e-mail. • POP3 connection settings-Define the connection settings for incoming e-mail.
