CHAPTER YOUR PHONE 4 Turning your Palm® Treo™ 500v smartphone on/off The term smartphone refers to the device and its physical aspects. The term phone refers to the wireless feature of your Palm® Treo™ 500v smartphone that enables you to connect to your network operator's network so that you can make and receive calls and send and receive data. The phone and your smartphone can be turned off and on separately. This means you can turn on your smartphone to use just the organiser features without turning on the phone. Turning your phone off When you turn the phone off, you can still use the Microsoft Office apps and all the organiser features of your smartphone. 1 Press Power Manager. and select Wireless 2 Select Phone. 3 Press Done (left softkey). When your phone is off, the phone-off icon appears at the top of the screen and Phone Off appears in the upper-left of the screen. Your phone is not connected to any mobile network.
