CHAPTER YOUR APPLICATION AND INFO MANAGEMENT TOOLS 9 You can also purchase SDIO cards that contain software such as presentation modules. When purchasing an SDIO card, make sure that the card is compatible with the Treo 700wx smartphone. Expansion cards are sold separately. Your smartphone comes with a dummy card inside the expansion card slot, to protect the slot. When you do not have a functioning card inside the slot, reinsert the dummy card to protect the slot opening. TIP We recommend that you purchase preformatted expansion cards. To format a card on your own, you need to connect a card reader (sold separately) to your computer. Removing and inserting expansion cards 1 Press down and release the dummy card. 2 After you feel the expansion card slot eject the dummy card, remove the card from the slot. 3 To insert an expansion card, hold your smartphone with the screen facing you and hold the card with the label facing you. The notch on the card should be in the lower-left corner, next to the antenna. 4 Insert the card into the expansion card slot until you feel it lock into place and you hear the confirmation tone.
