Chapter 6 Configure and Monitor Omada Managed Devices ■■ Services In Services, you can configure Management VLAN, Loopback Control and SNMP. Management VLAN To configure Management VLAN, create a network in LAN first, and then select it as the management VLAN on this page. For details, refer to Configure Wired Networks. The management VLAN is a VLAN created to enhance the network security. Without Management VLAN, the configuration commands and data packets are transmitted in the same network. There are risks of unauthorized users accessing the management page and modifying the configurations. A management VLAN can separate the management network from the data network and lower the risks. Loopback Detection When enabled, the switch checks the network regularly to detect the loopback. Note that Lopback Detection and Spanning Tree are not availiable at the same time. 243
