Chapter 7 LAN Screens The ZyWALL has a single LAN interface. Even though more than one of ports 1~4 may be in the LAN port role, they are all still part of a single physical Ethernet interface and all use the same IP address. The ZyWALL supports three logical LAN interfaces via its single physical LAN Ethernet interface. The ZyWALL itself is the gateway for each of the logical LAN networks. When you use IP alias, you can also configure firewall rules to control access between the LAN's logical networks (subnets). " Make sure that the subnets of the logical networks do not overlap. The following figure shows a LAN divided into subnets A, B, and C. Figure 85 Physical Network & Partitioned Logical Networks To change your ZyWALL's IP alias settings, click NETWORK > LAN > IP Alias.
