Chapter 1 Introduction 1.3 Management Overview You can manage the Zyxel Device in the following ways. Web Configurator The Web Configurator allows easy Zyxel Device setup and management using an Internet browser. This User's Guide provides information about the Web Configurator. Figure 8 Managing the Zyxel Device: Web Configurator Command-Line Interface (CLI) The CLI allows you to use text-based commands to configure the Zyxel Device. Access it using remote management (for example, SSH or Telnet) or via the physical or Web Configurator console port. See the Command Reference Guide for CLI details. The default settings for the console port are: Table 2 Console Port Default Settings SETTING VALUE Speed 115200 bps Data Bits 8 Parity None Stop Bit 1 Flow Control Off FTP Use File Transfer Protocol for firmware upgrades and configuration backup/restore.
