Installing the Cooling Shroud CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product. 1 Align and press the cooling shroud down on the system board. See Figure 3-7. 2 Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board Assembly" on page 62. 3 Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system, including any attached peripherals. WARNING: The heat sink may be hot to touch for some time after the system has been powered down. Allow the heat sink to cool before removing it. CAUTION: Never remove the heat sink from a processor unless you intend to remove the processor. The heat sink is necessary to maintain proper thermal conditions. 64 Installing System Components

Align and press the cooling shroud down on the system board.
See Figure 3-7.

Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board
Assembly" on page 62.

Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system,
including any attached peripherals.

Removing the Heat Sink

Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect
the system from its electrical outlet.

WARNING:
The heat sink may be hot to touch for some time after the system
