Installing a Power Distribution Board CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product. CAUTION: If removed, you must replace the second power distribution board at the bottom and the power distribution board-connector before replacing the first power distribution board at the top. 1 If removed, first place the second power distribution board in the system. See Figure 3-24. Otherwise skip to step 5. NOTE: To install the second power distribution board that is below the first power distribution board, angle the board during installation. 2 Replace the screws securing the second power distribution board to the system. See Figure 3-24. 3 Replace the power distribution board-connector. See Figure 3-24. 4 Connect all the cables to the second power distribution board. See Figure 5-13. You must route these cables properly through the tabs on the chassis to prevent them from being pinched or crimped. 5 Replace the screws securing the first power distribution board to the system. CAUTION:
If removed, you must replace the second power distribution board at
the bottom and the power distribution board-connector before replacing the first
power distribution board at the top.
