Cleaning the Printer The printer needs only minimal cleaning. If you notice a decline in print quality, clean the inside of the printer as described in this section. You should also clean the printer's outer case every few months. Whenever you clean the printer or replace the components, print a test sheet by pressing the reset button at the back of the printer. Cleaning the inside of the printer Fine particles of paper dust and ordinary dust can collect inside the printer. Follow the steps below to clean the inside of the printer: 1. Make sure the printer is turned off. 2. Open the printer's front cover. 3. Remove the toner cartridge. 4. Remove any dirt inside the printer with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use compressed air.
