Source Sub Tab • Basemap-On, Off: turns the built-in base map on or off. • Advanced-On, Off: turns all optional BlueChart/ MapSource data loaded on the data card on or off. The Advanced option box shows a list of the optional BlueChart/ MapSource data loaded on the data card. Each area is described by name and can be deselected if you do not want to show the data on the Map Page. MAIN MENU > MAP TAB To show the Advanced Map Card Setup: 1. Highlight the Advanced option box, and press ENTER. 2. Use the ROCKER to scroll through the list of map family. Press ENTER to view all of the maps within a map family. 3. To select or deselect a map, highlight the check box to the left of the name of a map. Press ENTER to select or deselect the map. The map is selected and appears on the Map Page when a check mark appears in the box adjacent to that map. 4. To show detailed information and notes for each area, highlight a name, and press ENTER. To view the notes for that area, choose Show Notes. To scroll through the notes, highlight the notes, press ENTER, and use the ROCKER to scroll up, down, left, and right, or press ADJ/MENU and choose a scroll option. NOTE: The Advanced Map information is only available when you have a data card with additional map data, such as BlueChart g2, installed in the unit. GPSMAP 292/298 Owner's Manual 63

To show the Advanced Map Card Setup:
1.
Highlight the
Advanced
option box, and press
ENTER
.
2.
Use the
ROCKER
to scroll through the list of map family.
Press
ENTER
to view all of the maps within a map family.
3.
To select or deselect a map, highlight the check box to
the left of the name of a map. Press
ENTER
to select or
deselect the map. The map is selected and appears on the
Map Page when a check mark appears in the box adjacent
to that map.
4.
To show detailed information and notes for each area,
highlight a name, and press
ENTER
. To view the notes for
that area, choose
Show Notes
. To scroll through the notes,
highlight the notes, press
ENTER,
and use the
ROCKER
to scroll up, down, left, and right, or press
ADJ/MENU
and
choose a scroll option.
NOTE:
The Advanced Map information is only available
