Setting up the PostScript driver (Windows) 6 2 Note Click the [Acquire Device Information] button to communicate with this machine and read the status of the settings specified on this machine. You cannot use this function if you are not connected to or able to communicate with this machine. The connection can be specified by clicking the [Acquire Settings] button. In addition, when use the [Acquire Device Information] function, in the Administrator Settings of the machine, select [System Connection] - [Open API Settings] - [Authentication], and then select "OFF". For details, refer to "Authentication Setting for the OpenAPI Settings" on page 10-38. ! Detail For the procedure for specifying "Encrypt. Passphrase" to be defined by the user, refer to "Specifying a user-defined encryption passphrase" on page 9-30. Specifying the paper tray You can register the paper size, paper orientation, and paper type for the paper that is loaded in a paper tray. 2 Reminder If the paper loaded in this machine and the paper specified from the printer driver are different, printing cannot be performed correctly. Be sure to make the proper settings. 1 Click the Configure tab. 2 Click the [Paper Tray Settings] button. The Paper Tray Settings dialog box appears. 3 Select the desired tray in "Paper Tray Information", and then specify the paper size, paper orientation, and paper type. 4 Click the [OK] button. 2 Note The paper type for a paper tray can also be specified from the Basic tab. Setting up the PostScript driver (Windows)

Note

Click the [Acquire Device Information] button to communicate with this machine and read the status of

the settings specified on this machine. You cannot use this function if you are not connected to or able

to communicate with this machine. The connection can be specified by clicking the [Acquire Settings]

button. In addition, when use the [Acquire Device Information] function, in the Administrator Settings of

the machine, select [System Connection] - [Open API Settings] - [Authentication], and then select

"OFF". For details, refer to "Authentication Setting for the OpenAPI Settings" on page 10-38.

Detail

Specifying the paper tray

You can register the paper size, paper orientation, and paper type for the paper that is loaded in a paper tray.

Reminder

If the paper loaded in this machine and the paper specified from the printer driver are different, printing

cannot be performed correctly. Be sure to make the proper settings.

Click the Configure tab.

Click the [Paper Tray Settings] button.

The Paper Tray Settings dialog box appears.

Select the desired tray in "Paper Tray Information", and then specify the paper size, paper orientation,

and paper type.

Click the [OK] button.

Note
