Overview 1 Printing flow When using this printing system as a printer, the flow of the main process is described below. Print commands transmitted from the application are received by the printer driver. Data is transmitted to this machine over a USB interface when this machine is used as a USB printer, or over an Ethernet interface (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, AppleTalk) when this machine is used as a network printer. The data is then delivered from this machine to the printer controller, which performs image rasterization (development of output characters and images to bitmap data). Finally, this data is printed from this machine. To use this machine as a copier, press the [Copy] key on the control panel. When a print job is received during copying, the data is stored in the memory of this machine. Printing flow
