Caller ID Blocking Call Waiting Caller ID allows people to identify a caller before answering the phone by displaying the number of the incoming call. If you do not want your number displayed when you make a call, follow these steps. Per-Call Blocking To block delivery of your number for a single phone call: ᮣ Press *67 before dialing the call. Your Nextel phone number cannot be blocked from calls made to 911, 800, 855, 866, 877, 888, or other toll-free phone numbers. Per-Line Blocking You can request that Nextel Customer Service permanently block delivery of your phone number on every call you make. In this case, you may need to display your number for certain calls. To show your number on a per-call basis: ᮣ Press *82 before dialing the call. Call Waiting lets you receive a second call while on an active call. Call Waiting is always available, unless you turn it off for a specific call. If you are on a call and receive a second call, your phone emits a tone and displays a message. To accept the second call and put the active call on hold: ᮣ Press Yes (left softkey). To accept the second call and end the active call: 1. Press .. Your phone rings with the second call. 2. Answer the second call. To decline the second call: ᮣ Press No (right softkey). If you subscribe to voicemail, the call is forwarded to your voicemail box, unless you set Call Forward or If Busy to a different number. 60 4. Service Features: The Basics
