Change Lock Code The Lock Code is used to lock the phone, and to access some phone settings. 1. From the Main screen, press the MENU/OK Key ➔ Tools+Settings ➔ Settings ➔ Reset/Delete. 2. Enter the Lock Code at the prompt. The default lock code is the last four digits of the telephone number assigned to your phone. 3. Select Change Lock Code. 4. Follow the prompts to enter the current lock code and create a new lock code. Others Configure other settings. Abbreviated Dialing With Abbreviated Dialing, you can call numbers by dialing just the unique numbers in the telephone number, and your phone fills in the other digits. For example, if many numbers you dial have the same area code, you can configure Abbreviated Dialing with the area code, then just dial the remaining digits to place a call. Abbreviated Dialing will add the configured digits before the number to complete the number. 1. From the Main screen, press the MENU/OK Key ➔ Tools+Settings ➔ Settings ➔ Others ➔ Abbreviated Dialing. 2. Use the Navigation Key to highlight On to enable Abbreviated Dialing, or Off, then press the MENU/OK Key. 3. When you set Abbreviated Dialing to On, continue to enter the digits for abbreviated dialing. Digits you enter here are dialed before (prepended to) digits you dial on the keypad. Press DONE to save your settings. Settings 89
