1 6 RECIREC MUTE ~ 52 RECORDING FROM A CD Preparation " Wind up to the point where recording will start. q Use normal (type I) or CrOz (type II) tapes. 1 Insert the tape to be recorded on into deck 2. Press the EJECT A mark to open the cassette holder. Insert the tape with the side to be recorded on first facing you and the exposed side down. 2 Set DOLBY NR. To record with DOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR button to turn on the Dolby NR. The 00 NR indicator will light. To record without DOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR button to turn off the Dolby NR. The UU NR indicator will go off. 3 Set the reverse mode. Each time the REV MODE button is pressed, the reverse mode changes. To record on one side only, turn on z. To record on both sides, turn on =>. 4 Press the CD button. 5 Load discs onto the disc trays. The disc loaded on tray 1 is played first. 6 Press the q REC/REC MUTE button to start recording. Playing and recording start simultaneously with the first track of the first disc. All discs in the compartment are recorded if the tape is long enough. When you use the remote control to start recording, first press the q/0 REC/REC MUTE button and then press the + F button within 2 seconds. To stop recording from the CD Press the s button to stop the deck, and press it again to stop the CD player. After play stops at the end of the CD Deck 2 enters recording stop mode. To record selected tracks Before pressing the q REC/REC MUTE button, program the tracks. (See "PROGRAMMED PLAY.) To record part of the CD When the q REC/REC MUTE buttonis pressed, recordingalways starts from the first track. To start in the middle of a track, play the CD uptothe point where you want to start recording, and then press the q REC/REC MUTE button.

NR.
To record with DOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR button to turn

To record without DOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR button to
turn off the Dolby NR. The UU NR indicator will go off.
Set the reverse
mode.
Each time the REV MODE button is pressed, the reverse mode

Press the CD button.

To stop
recording from the CD
Press the
button to stop the deck, and press it again to stop the
CD player.
After play stops at the end of the CD
Deck 2 enters recording stop mode.
To record selected
tracks
Before pressing the
REC/REC
MUTE button,
program
the
tracks.

To record
part of the CD
When the
REC/REC MUTE buttonis pressed, recordingalways
starts from the first track. To start in the middle of a track, play the
CD uptothe point where you want to start recording, and then press
the
REC/REC MUTE button.
