Wireless installation for Windows® Installation using with an access point that supports SecureEasySetupTM (Windows® 98/98SE/Me/2000 Professional/XP) 8 Important If you have previously configured the wireless settings of the machine, you must reset the network LAN settings before you can configure the wireless settings again. For MFC-640CW: Press Menu/Set, 5, 0, 1 and press 1.Yes to accept the change. The machine will restart automatically. For MFC-820CW: Press Menu, ▲ or ▼ for LAN and press OK. Press ▲ or ▼ for Factory Reset and then press OK. Press 1 to accept the change. The machine will restart automatically. 1 Turn on the machine by plugging in the power cord. 2 Turn on your computer. (For Windows® 2000 Professional/XP, you must be logged on with Administrator rights.) Close any applications running before installing the MFL-Pro Suite. Note Before installation, if you are using personal firewall software, disable it. Once you are sure that you can print after the installation, restart your personal firewall software. 3 Put the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. If the model name screen appears, choose your machine. If the language screen appears, choose your language. 8 - 23
