Step 1 Use the show cdp command to verify the CDP configuration: Router# show cdp Global CDP information: Sending CDP packets every 120 seconds Sending a holdtime value of 180 seconds Sending CDPv2 advertisements is enabled Router# Enabling CDP on an Interface To enable CDP on an interface, use the following command in interface configuration mode: Step 1 Command Router(config-if)# cdp enable Purpose Enables CDP on an interface.
