Removing a Drive from the Drive Cage 7. Remove the blank drive bezel from the inside of the front bezel, if necessary. 8. Replace the front bezel and side panel. 9. Reconfigure the computer, if necessary. Refer to Chapter 8, "Using Compaq Utilities," for more information.  If you have installed a second diskette drive (B:), you will need to reconfigure the computer, using Computer Setup, to recognize the B: drive. Choose the Storage option, under Built-in Devices, to reconfigure the drive. 10. If you normally lock the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer Setup to relock the lock. To remove a drive from the drive cage, complete the following steps: 1. If you have locked the Smart Cover Lock, use Computer Setup to unlock the lock. For more information about Computer Setup, refer to Chapter 8, "Using Compaq Utilities." 2. Turn off the computer, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and remove the side panel and front bezel. 3. Remove the two screws securing the drive to the drive cage.  If removing the standard diskette drive, you must remove the plastic power switch holder to access the front screws securing the drive to the drive cage. To remove the switch holder, grasp the tab in the center of the holder and slide the holder up and out. 4. Disconnect the drive power and signal cables and, if it is a CD-ROM drive or PD-CD Drive, disconnect the audio connector. 5. Remove the blank drive bezel from the inside of the front

9. Reconfigure the computer, if necessary. Refer to Chapter 8,
“Using Compaq Utilities,” for more information.
If you have installed a second diskette drive (B:), you will

Removing a Drive
from the Drive Cage
To remove a drive from the drive cage, complete the following
steps:

2. Turn off the computer, disconnect the power cord from the
electrical outlet, and remove the side panel and front bezel.
3. Remove the two screws securing the drive to the drive
cage.
If removing the standard diskette drive, you must remove
