See Figure 2-31 for the SDRAM DIMM socket locations. Follow these guidelines, and the instructions in this section, when installing or replacing memory modules: Install SDRAM DIMMs in the proper sockets. Use only 64-, 128-, 256-, or 512-MB SDRAM DIMMs. SDRAM DIMMs must be 133-MHz registered (buffered). Compaq ProLiant ML530 servers support from 64 MB to a maximum of 4 GB of synchronous
DRAM (133-MHz, ECC SDRAM) DIMM memory. See Figure 2-31 for the SDRAM DIMM
socket locations.
Follow these guidelines, and the instructions in this section, when installing or replacing
memory modules:
■
Install SDRAM DIMMs in the proper sockets.
■
Use only 64-, 128-, 256-, or 512-MB SDRAM DIMMs.
■
SDRAM DIMMs must be 133-MHz registered (buffered).
■
Install SDRAM DIMMs in the following socket sequence for maximum performance:
