Route these cables properly when you replace them to prevent the cables from being pinched or crimped. 1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions. 2. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your enclosure. 3. Remove all the sleds from the enclosure. 4. Remove the cooling fan cage. 5. Disconnect all the connected cables. Steps 1. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the midplane to the chassis. 2. Lift the midplane out of the chassis. 3. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the midplane to the chassis.

Lift the midplane out of the chassis.

Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the power cables to the midplane.
