Chapter 11 Finding and Recording Places 217 11.4 Google Maps (Available by Country) Google Maps tracks your current location through your phone's Wi-Fi connection, data connection, or GPS. With Google Maps, you can search for places of interest or a street address and get detailed directions to reach your selected destination. You can also easily locate addresses of your contacts if they are stored on your phone. To open Google Maps, press START and then tap Google Maps. Zoom in Zoom out Search for places View your current location on the map. Get directions, join Google Latitude, use GPS, and more. You need an active data or Wi-Fi connection to use Google Maps Searching a place of interest Google Maps lets you search and locate a place of interest, shows the information for that place, and gives directions on how to get there from your current location. 1. On the Google Maps screen, tap Search. 2. Enter the name, address, or postal code of the place on the search field and then tap OK.
