PCI riser cage To remove the component: CAUTION: For proper cooling do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles, expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the amount of time the access panel is open. 1. Disconnect any cables connected to optional I/O cards before removing cage. 2. Remove the PCI riser cage. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure. When replacing the I/O riser cage, push down on the top of the component where the I/O riser is located to ensure it has properly seated into the system board. Expansion slot covers CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.
