set host-name Description Changes a host's nickname and optionally its profile. Syntax set host-name id host [profile standard|openvms|hp-ux] new-nickname Parameters id host The ID or nickname of the host to rename. profile standard|openvms|hp-ux Optional. • standard: The host allows LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping. This is the default. • openvms: The host does not allow LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping. • hp-ux: The host allows LUN 0 to be assigned to a mapping and uses Flat Space Addressing. new-nickname A new nickname for the host. The name is case sensitive, cannot include a comma, double quote, or backslash, and can have a maximum of 15 bytes. A name that includes a space must be enclosed in double quotes. Example Change a host's nickname to MyHost and its profile to HP-UX: # set host-name id Host1 profile hp-ux MyHost Success: Command completed successfully. - The host was renamed.
