Rev 1.6.9 2.1.4 Network to Media Resolution (ARP & NDP) IPv4 network use Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) to resolve IP address to MAC address, while IPv6 network uses Network Discovery Protocol (NDP) that performs basically the same as ARP. ip arp ip arp no ip arp Sets a static ARP entry. The no form of the command deletes the static ARP. Syntax Description IP address IPv4 address. MAC address MAC address.
