Volume Information To view information about all volumes in the system: ● Select Monitor > Status > Advanced Settings > Volume Information. The Volume Information panel shows the following information. ■ Pref Owner - Preferred owner; the controller that owns the virtual disk during normal operation (Shown in dual-controller mode) ■ Curr Owner - Current owner; either the preferred owner during normal operation or the partner controller when the preferred owner is offline (Shown in dualcontroller mode) ■ Node WWN - Owning controller's node World Wide Name ■ LUN - Default value, which may be overridden by explicit mappings ■ Vdisk Name - Name of the virtual disk that the volume is part of ■ Vol Num - Volume number in the virtual disk ■ Volume Name - Name assigned to the volume ■ Volume Size - Volume size in Gbyte ■ Read-Ahead Cache Size - Specifies the read-ahead cache size setting: Default, Disabled, a specific size in Kbyte or Mbyte, or Maximum ■ Write-Back Cache Enable - Specifies whether write-back cache is enabled or disabled To change the virtual disk owner, see "Changing Virtual Disk Ownership" on page 78. To change the read-ahead cache size, see "Changing a Volume's Read-Ahead Cache Settings" on page 89.
